Solar lighting is the safest and easiest kind of outdoor lighting to install. It avoids electric cabling and costs nothing to run.
Affordable: Solar Lighting systems outperform traditional wired systems hands-down. In a solar installation, initial costs are incurred for the self-contained energy collecting and storage system. But after that, the energy itself is free! When compared to the traditional system's costs for cable, trenching, metering equipment and construction, plus electric bills continuing forever, the solar system's cost advantages can be dramatic and immediate.
Reliable: GPI solar powered outdoor lighting is virtually maintenance free. The batteries require no water or other regular service. There are no moving parts.

A solar panel is used as a generator which converts light to electricity. The electricity is used to charge a battery while there is daylight, even under cloudy skies. The battery powers the light, at night, turning it on at dusk and turning it off at dawn, or some earlier time if chosen.
Each solar light operates independently from others without the need for a transformer and wiring. This makes solar lighting especially suitable for use in remote areas and locations near water.
